The Violence and Society Centre, City St George’s and the VISION consortium are pleased to collaborate with ENGV and host their annual conference in 2026.
ENGV is an interdisciplinary, international network supporting exchange and collaboration about gender and violence among researchers, scholars and professionals for 30 years. Their conference provides a forum for friendly debate of current research. VISION and VASC researchers have been attending the conferences over the years and are excited to support and participate further in the network's annual event.
The theme for the 2026 conference focuses on sexual violence and abuse of children and young people as well as work that shows actual progress in the fight against gender-based violence.
The conference is 24-26 June 2026 at City St George’s UoL Clerkenwell campus, Northampton Square, London, EC1V 0HB. The campus is in north central London with easy access to transport links at Angel, Barbican and Farringdon underground tube stations.
The Early Career Researchers’ (ECR) day is 24 June and an opportunity for ECRs to meet one another, discuss their gender and violence research, share ideas and thoughts, and provide support. For any questions about the ECR event, please email engvlondon@gmail.com.
The main conference will be 25 – 26 June. The two days promise to be full of presentations, discussion, a poster reception, materials for display and a warm welcome from VISION and the Violence & Society Centre to kick off the conference.
